a day at the allotment

Weeded, thinned, watered and harvested. Lifted a Desiree Prime - couple of kilos of really nice big spuds - and picked another courgette, some peas and runner beans. Oh, and rhubarb, and a couple of beetroot. There were dozens of bumble bees and honey bees in the plot, plus wasps and various hover flies and the odd passing cabbage white butterfly. Bliss!

And then I stumbled on the stone steps at my front door, banging my bad knee really hard. No more allotment for a while, boo hoo.
