Nozzles

Coincidentally I found myself at the Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum this afternoon, which is behind the building I blipped yesterday. Amongst the old fire engines and equipment, my eye was taken by this row of shiny brass and copper hose nozzles against a glass brick wall.

I was also interested to hear something about the history of the fire station, especially the fact that the first floor offices were originally a ballroom and concert venue. Whose idea it was to have a ballroom in a fire station no-one knows (or understands)
