Cocktail Hour

A predictably slow start to the day after yesterday's late night. Breakfast was a long process of pancakes and laziness which, with a short pause for changing out of pjs, segued nicely into lunch. That was for the grown ups, of course; the kids, meanwhile, concentrated on trying to splash all the water out of the pool.

In a packed afternoon, activities included sitting, napping, chatting and looking for a (still) lost hat. Then just time for another dip in the pool for the kids before one third of our cohort left for the next stage of their three country summer break.

More swimming later for grown ups and the inaugural session for the house band on the terrace. With cocktails, of course. Now a ton of ribs have arrived on the table and I must eat....
