Tough gig

Fiesta. Exhausting but presumably a real honour to be chosen to carry the icon of the Virgen del Antigua for Almunecar's local fiesta. Fabulous and quite moving start to the procession. We left them to get on with processing and headed to a shady restaurant in a pedestrianised square for dinner to allow maximum grown up relaxing and children running around.

The earlier part of the day was taken up with a mass beach trip, lunch at the restaurant on the beach and then back for siestas, as we all know the rule: "No Siesta, No Fiesta".

Fireworks on the beach were magical.
