I won't be the Lonely One, Sitting on my Own

Well after Dropping Boy off, we drove over to Edinburgh and had a look at Toolibelle's new flat for this year, and very nice it is too. And amazingly, a pub right across the road.

Then we took a wee run into the city centre to have a wee look at the Fringe carry on in the street. Heavens but there are so many mad people in the Royal Mile; who am I kidding - they are every where, I collected hundreds of flyers, because I don't like to say no. I sometimes even take two, because grumpy chops says no, and I feel obliged to make everyone feel better by taking the one he was supposed to take, and one for me too.

Why is it can I ask, that I feel personally responsible for the failure or collapse of any social function which is taking place?

Same thing happened here at home.... The Local Further Education or Adult Education Group are appealing for new members of it's committee because the Chair and Vice are retiring... I am a phone call away from phoning to join, despite not actually taking part in any of the classes.

And its the reason I was on the PTA for 30 years, the Football Team Committee, a "responsible adult" for The Drama and the Brownies. I just hear them say "we need....." and I lift my hand.

Oaft.

Hey - nuff said.

Boy is fine. Has arrived in the U S of A. Has changed from Newark, and then his mate Tim picked him up in Raleigh. Today he has visited Newsroom, (watch out Dermot Murnaghan Boy is after your job), and tonight he is heading to Mount Olive.

Look out S.... Here he comes!
