Porthkerry Park Beastie

Today turned into a beautiful day so me and hubby headed down to Porthkerry Park in Barry. We haven't been down there for a number of years so it made a nice change.
I've been seeing lots of amazing pics of dragonflies on Blip and been itching to capture a shot of one myself. I didn't think Porthkerry would be the place to be, to see them, but all the ponds down there were teeming with them. From this, the Emperor Dragonfly to the Broad Bodied Chaser and the Ruddy Darter!
So I ended taking up lots of pics, would have liked to have got closer to them but I would've needed waders on!!
After Porthkerry we drove the short distance over to Cold Knapp and the lake and took some more pics there. and of course had the obligatory Cold Knapp ice cream!
Today is our last day of me and hubby having the place to ourselves for a week! Our darling daughters return from their Youth Camp tomorrow!
