Let them eat cake

The Rabbi made Nelly a cake in honour of her last day with the team. We didn't get emotional though, she's only moving twenty feet across the shop floor to work with some colleagues. And with her voice, she sure won't be out of of earshot ...

As to the rest of the day, had breakfast with Captain Pugwash and Roger the Cabin Boy in the local greasy spoon. TSM picked me up and we were going to see an early movie, but the crash and closure of the M25 spilled out on to every arterial road for miles and it took us an age to get anywhere so we gave up and came home.

Handy Andy had done another great job in the garden so we admired his handiwork, had cocktails that nobody liked, then ordered an excellent take away curry. The Girl Racer gave up her detox diet and joined in with the scoffing.

Watched Snow White and the Huntsman which was poor, apart from Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone and Toby Jones as three of the seven you-know-whats. The Dizzle out skating as usual for a Friday. But a very cool picture of Top Gun on his German road trip popped up on Facebook to make me happy.

Not a bad day at all really ...
