Summer Isles Sea Kelpie

This wee monster of the deep is Tess' baby spider crab skin she spotted on the shore of Tanera Mor in the Summer Isles. I left our recent adrenaline rush rib boat experiences at cromarty and last year at Clachtoll behind and made an executive decision to book us on a very gentile 4 hr boat trip from Ullapool on the Summer Queen.

We were rewarded by porpoises, Attenborough documentary style clear waters with hypnotic pulsating jellyfish, chocolate brownies, peregrine falcons and birds of every description, beautiful seal colonies, tales of spanish horses, chocolate brownies, goats, highland clearances, human tragedies, cave preachers, chocolate brownies, the UK's last independent post office, oh and chocolate brownies, or did i mention them already?

We returned by the coastal route to Inverkirkaig instead of Ledmore; the scenery was amazing.

In the evening I went down onto Stoer beach to blow some cobwebs away, then I spotted a plot for sale......
