Web nets
Today's the day ........................... to wait patiently
When I was young, I had a book entitled Birds of the British Isles.
It was beautifully illustrated with full colour plates of the birds - and the one I particularly remember was of a heron. The heading of the page describing it was - 'The Patient Killer of the Marshes', which always made me think of herons as a very sinister, deadly sort of bird.
This heron however has been so patient that a spider has had time to spin not only one - but two webs around his head. From a distance, they almost looked like nets to help him with a spot of fishing ........................
