Smoke Warrior

I created this image during my first ever attempt at smoke photography.

I used an incense stick burning in front of my lens with a flash gun behind and just underneath the smoke to back light it.
I honestly nearly gave up after about 30 mins of manually focusing, switching off the lights and then going to take the image....after realising about 30 pictures in that my movement to and from the light switch was causing the smoke to change direction and move just out of the pre-focused point.

DOH!!!

At least I managed to get this one.

which i thought looked like some sort of anime style warrior
