Identification: Southern Hawker Dragonfly (Thanks Ruthy)

We took the boys Grandma (my mother in Law) out for the day today. contrary to popular expectation, I get on well with My mother in law. In fact she's quite cool.

Whilst strolling round Harlow Carr we noticed this creature circling and I have to say - I am astonished (and very pleased) that I got this shot. My only regret is that it wasn't facing the camera.
