Freeman and Anne-Marie
Our saviors!
The idea was to go diving at St-Paul Island, known as the cemetery of the gulf for all the ship wrecks found there. It's located about 40 kms north of Cape Breton. The water was a bit rough but we had a great day.
On our way back, we ran out of gas, 15 kms from the port of Dingwall. It was 5 pm and the wind was stronger. We had a 22-foot zodiac and we were 5 aboard, Wilson came with us.
Fortunately we had a radio and a cell phone. We could eventually get a hold of Lester, Wlison's brother, who contacted Freeman, a local fisherman, who agreed to come and tow us in.
We were finally safe and sound on the ground at 9:45 and back at the cabin a half hour later with 2 big pizzas that caught fire in the oven shortly afterward.
This eventful day ended in music and singing with Dave (guitar) and Wilson (guitar and fiddle).
What a wonderful day!
