Cor! Apple Dumplings!!
I had to stop mid screw to blip.
They're in the oven now. It's more of a Fall dish, but as it was all foggy and cool today I rustled them up ... and what a whiff on the air! ! !!
Much more important, though ...
... do you ever watch the International Space Station pass over you? It flies over you almost every day and night, depending on the rotation of the earth, and you can actually see it at night ... if it's clear ... and if you happen to be in its path. It's that bright light in the night sky, passing over at rate of knots. It doesn't flash (airplanes flash) and it always arrives dead on time (unlike your local bus).
It's particularly gorgeous if you happen to be bobbing about on a boat, well off shore. Oh, I know it's a bit wee sometimes, but ... jesus ... it's made of tin and controlled by levers! You have to marvel at it, despite the view.
If you tell NASA where you live they'll send you an email detailing when you can see it. Sightings tend to come in clusters, due to the rotation of the Earth.
Right then, here's the NASA Spot the Sation link. It's the first link I've ever blipped, so hope it works. If it doesn't just google "NASA Spot the Station", click the radio button, sign up, and sit back.
