Back to my hills

The family have all gone in to Edinburgh to take my son-in-law to the airport as he has to go back to work while the rest of the family remain with me for a few more days.

The dogs seemed happy to be back in their old haunts despite the rather changeable weather. For my part it was great to be back with one of my favourite views ahead of me and I enjoyed watching it change as the sun occasionally keeked out from behind the clouds highlighting different sections of the landscape. The heavy clouds were never far away but I feel they give a great contrast with the sunny spots. A family of buzzards, eight in total, were having fun in the sky above wheeling, diving and soaring with the air peppered with their distinctive mewing sound.
