cows with bells....

We had a lovely walk in the mountains again today, and when we stopped for lunch there were many cows lazing about, their bells around their necks clanging very musically across the mountains (cowbells are also known as a trychel 0r treichel)

I saw this lovely heifer and marched up to it with my camera - but she was having none of it - she swished her tail and came right at me, causing me to back off! If you look large you can see all the flies around her head and her tail swishing as she ran at me. She chased me all the way back to where we were eating lunch, and for being so gutsy she deserves to be in my journal!
