Terrifying Gargoyle

Another visit to Lichfield in Staffordshire, but this time with my friend and colleague Sarah.

Lunch was our first destination - the Chapters Cafe right next to the cathedral.

Refreshed, we then visited the cathedral itself. It's unusual as it has 3 spires. The next stop was Samuel Johnson's birthplace in the centre of the city.

A visit to the Guildhall where we had a look at the old cells in the prison and then further refreshments in The Tudor of Lichfield tearooms.

Last time I was in Lichfield I'd seen this fairly new gargoyle on the outside of the cathedral, so I wanted to get a shot this time. It reminds me of the Ghostbusters film gargoyles.
