Dawn in Richmond Park.
On arriving in the park the sunrise was unremarkable - a pink band of sky with a broad band of dark grey cloud above that. However, quite suddenly, as dawn was advancing, the band was transformed into a carpet of colours and textures. This did not last for very long. I cycled off to find some deer. By then the sun was peeking above the horizon rendering the sky a bright orange. The sky 180 degrees to this, over Pen Ponds, was pink - all quite amazing!
I saw a cute little Pochard at Ham Ponds on my way home.
I was so undecided as to which image to use for my Blip so please click here to see the images showing the sequence of the dawn.
