Running

I've been a bit worried lately about my fitness - I'm running a half marathon in under two months, and having barely run at all since moving to Berlin, I'm getting a bit stressed. The whole point of doing it was to a) Beat my previous time (1.59) and b) Work my way up to a marathon next year. It's not looking likely at this rate.

I thought I'd test my speed by attending this week's Park Run in Newport, a weekly timed 5k that happens all over the UK every Saturday morning. Thanks to my Uncle staying neck-and-neck with me the entire time, I managed 24:59. Not my best (my PB is 24.21), not that I'm fast in the slightest anyway, and I pushed myself to the limit to get that. But it was nice to know that my fitness hasn't completely gone - and then I got to return to this, my happy, smiling, 'go you!' banana. Yes, this is my life now...
