Guernsey and beyond

Boom.....

For the non Guerns - we are being evacuated tomorrow morning from our house as a WW2 bomb has been found in the Bluebell Woods. The police called to the house to say they were evacuating every household some 300m from the site.

Canadians dropped some 6 bombs on D day - 4 were recovered by the Germans, one recovered about 15 years ago and the final one was found in the woods a few days ago on a training exercise.

This is our long standing friend this evening (on the right) at her 60th party this evening. A terrific evening - lovely to meet old and new friends. Being the photographer gives you plenty of opportunity to mix, chat and be social to people you know - or do not know.

And...what a great scuba dive this morning. Some 31m dive on a wreck. Awesome is an understatement - getting in the wreck was incredible, like a Red Sea dive - totally full of fish - with the VIZ being some 15m. On enriched oxygen (32%) I had a good long dive with my buddy Pete.
