Courage

I have just spent the evening with this remarkable friend of mine. We have just celebrated the end of her breast cancer treatment. She is truly remarkable, as women who have this horribly cruel disease continually prove to be. I met her when her mother who was my friend was diagnosed with the same disease. Since her mother passed away we have become friends. She has her mothers strength and resilience, traits that are humbling to me. What a wonderful smile, what a zest for life she has. It is privilege to be able to celebrate with her, just a simple Chinese takeaway and a glass of wine. Great night with a lovely friend.
