Bejeweled

Met up with a favourite cousin at the Farmers market this morning. Mother even ventured out to join us. I think she felt more secure with two of us to rely on for guidance - her eyesight is not as she would like.
Cousin Mary gave us a dozen eggs from her chooks. Lovely home grown goodness. Bought bacon, minced venison, lots of broccoli, a jar of chilli jam and had a taste of a homemade coffee liquor...very tasty and not at all cloyingly sweet as so many liquors are (apparently this is because most liquors have glycerine added to thicken them and the coffee liquor does not). Think it would be delectable over icecream or added to Tiramisu. Maybe someone in the family will get a small bottle for Christmas.
Coffee, a sweet treat - mine was lemon tart, and a catch up natter added to a lovely start to the day.
