Whitfield Diffie

I suspect that few of you will know who Whit is. Every day you use your computer to make a secure payment or visit a secured website the cryptographic security system behind that activity was invented by Whit Diffie, Martin Hellman and Ralph Merkle.
Their invention, public key cryptography, revolutionised the world of secure communications.
