The Meaning of Life

Very nice few hours splitting a bottle or so with a friend. Catching up with folk is great especially when the conversation is lubricated with a little alcohol. Apart from the relaxing and in vino veritas affects (not necessarily a bonus for me) it appears to improve my hearing which is normally extremely poor when there is so much background noise ( probably an audiophysiology research project in there). It has been known to at least give me the impression of deep thought which all that counts really.
Imbibing solely wine (with a couple of iced waters thrown in) is not something I would normally do -being more of a Guinness, heavy, lager and whiskey man- but it was actually very nice and saved wasting valuable chat time with trips to the bar and loo. Lamb burger and chips was a bit of a highlight too.
