Discovered another 'wild' beehive on a walk this afternoon.
On a fallen log at knee height...which means bees are at knee height too!..it was a very cautious approach to this amazing hive.
It looks like a 'giant gill' and the bees congregate in the valleys between the ridges and the scent of honey was strong, potent and just delicious.
