before the vote

Dunscore Church has been without a minister for over a year and we have tried very hard to find the right person to fill that gap. Today, Jannie du Plessis came to preach as sole nominee and after the service, we had to vote yes or no to his being offered the post. He has come all the way from South Africa to answer the Cairn Valley call. I took this photo while the votes were being counted, of Jannie and his wife Sunet. They looked a lot happier 10 minutes later when the results were announced.

Now it's time to celebrate!
