Le Ballon Rouge

Sitting in Cafe Nero this morning I spotted this red balloon bouncing along and I was reminded of the French film, made in 1956 and directed by Albert Lamorisse. The film was shown in school to the primary classes as part of their French lessons.

In English, the film is called 'The Red Balloon' and is the story of a red balloon with a life of its own who follows a little boy round the streets of Paris, the balloon eventually becomming the boy's best friend.
