Wholesome Holidays

A long breakfast followed by a trip to Ambert to see France's only round mairie. Interesting in it's own little way. Ate croissants in the town square and discussed religion with Pierre over a coffee. Visitied the church, did a little tour of the town and then visited Moulin Richard de Bas - a water powered mill that makes beautiful paper, I brought a sample back with me! The afternoon was spent eating, taking a sieste in the sunshine and visiting a nearby lake with the neighbour of Anne-Marie and Pierre. We drank an apero with them before a dinner of vegetables from the garden, a tisane from the garden, chocolate and a lesson on the pronounciation of sous and dessus. Normally English people can't prenounce the former because it's a sound we don't have in English, I however, cannot pronounce the latter!
