We went to Wirral today and the beach at Thurstaton. We hadn't walked far along the beach when we saw the rain approaching. Luckily it did not amount to very much. Despite so much fruit in the hedgerows there was a feeding frenzy at the bird feeding station behind the ranger station. More birdies here.
Apologies, I couldn't resist this.
To walk off lunch we headed up Thurstaton hill, which is the second highest point on Wirral, and is part of one of two parallel sandstone ridges that run the length of the peninsula. By the time we got up there the rain had cleared and the sun was shining. We enjoyed great views all round.
