A corner of the garden at Midmar

Which in no way resembles A corner of the garden at Montgeron by the wonderful Claude Monet.

This is the garden I am leaving behind. It is not actually at all tranquil, since it is surrounded on two sides by very busy roads - one of them a fast route for ambulances to the Royal Infirmary.

One thing I notice about the new garden in Peebles is that I can hear birds.....
