Memorial

We drove back north today to get our ferry home and spent some time sitting by the dunes at Juno Beach, close to this memorial. It's always interesting and moving to visit the D-Day beaches, something we do regularly on our way home from holiday. Today we learnt about Lt 'Cosy' Aitken who with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles stormed and took the German bunker we were sitting near on the beach.
