In Selárdalur
We woke up midmorning in Patreksfjörður and after packing our things we went shopping in two of the local grocery stores. After taking a quick look at the village nearby, Tálknafjörður, we drove to Selárdalur. It's a remote place most famous for two of it's farmers; Samúel Jónsson (a self-taught artist, the photo shows a church and a house he built to display his art) and Gísli in Uppsalir (you can read about them HERE).
In the afternoon we drove to Bíldudalur and then stopped at waterfall Dynjandi and at Hrafnseyri (in Arnarfjörður).
We had a lovely dinner in Simbahöllin café, Þingeyri. Lamb in a Moroccan tagine, and belgian waffle and coffee for desert. Just what we needed, absolutely delicious!
We set up tent in Flateyri later in the evening and took a lovely walk around this interesting village.
