I don't remember the last time we walked along the shore at Portobello beach. We stopped an enjoyed a local beach volleyball championship game. There were medals presented to the winners and runners up, but there was no excess of flesh on show. The people of Edinburgh understand the need to remain fully clothed at all times.

Later we visited Jackson Brodie's Beach House café. He wasn't home, but I enjoyed the chat and the calm all the same.

I really am a seaside person, it brings out the best in me. I love that in this shot there are so many weird and wonderful things happening, so many individual stories.
