We spent the day at South Lakes Animal Park, which is a wonderfully educational setting and though I know some disagree with zoos of any kind, this one is rooted firmly in conservation and education projects around the world. Grace was in her element. Having read the guide book we bought a year ago, she was able to identify animals better than the adults could, and tell us about some of them. We met up with some friends from Cheshire at the park since it is located half way between us and them. It was lovely to have a catch up. Their little girl has grown up lots since I last saw her at Christmas.
