Sunset on the Golf Course

Drove to Ortonville for the annual CornFest. It's about a five and a half hour drive from Duluth. Monte did the driving from St. Cloud and beyond so I got to relax and enjoy the scenery for a change. Saw a pair of sandhill cranes which is a rare site in these parts. The farmers are starting to harvest the wheat; but the corn doesn't look ready yet. It was a late spring so will be late harvesting this fall. Ran into major construction delays so as soon as we arrived at my sister's, we pulled out a map to plan a different route home. We went for a walk at sundown then out to dinner at a nice steakhouse on the west side of the lake.
