Captivating clouds
The clouds were fantastic round our way today. Those sort of flat-bottomed ones that seem to float across the sky in straight lines - the epitomy of summer. This was the scene as I crossed the field by the fruit farm and I thought it might look more dramatic in black and white. Lots of butterflies around, too, and that's a relief after last summer's washout depleted numbers so badly. A few favourites like painted ladies and red admirals seem to be missing but the peacocks are thoroughly enjoying the buddleias just now.
For the record: Max 22C with sunny spells. Very pleasant.
