The imposing Art Nouveau clock tower which dominates the village of Lindley, Huddersfield.

Built in 1902 by the Sykes family who were the owners of the local mill.

Folklore says that the clock tower was erected as a way of reminding the workers of Lindley that they would no longer have an excuse for being late for work in the morning.
