Birthday

Finally, a real photo! This is Dad in front of the old treasury building in the city; I thought it was Parliament House, so clearly I don't know Melbourne as I well as I thought I did...

I was late to my class this afternoon because I didn't want to go to uni at all. I'd promised Julia a lift home, though, so I kind of had to go. It was nice having company on the drive home - even though driving is sometimes a hassle for me, I like driving people around.

We went out for dinner for Dad's birthday, to a Mexican restaurant called Mamasita. Mum got there early to queue for us, and thanks to a nice waiter we actually got a table really quickly. The food was awesome and even though I hadn't planned on drinking I couldn't resist the frozen mojito (mojito slushies, as Mum described them). My parents both really liked the food, and were impressed with my restaurant picking skills so I'm glad I got it right! It was a really nice evening.

I'm really pleased with this one - Dad looks happy, and the background is lovely and glowy. Melbourne at night is, as always, completely stunning. Happy birthday Dad!
