A little light morning TV to prepare the kids for another day staring at DVD screens in the back of the car. Milo has just interrupted a major meltdown to snaffle a few strawberries before resuming his protest.

Pleasant drive north from Peterborough to Edinburgh. Decided to take the Jedbergh route home, only to hit a police cordon and be diverted onto B roads that eventually led us to more or less back where we started 45 minutes later. Who can't see the funny side of that on the back of 1000 miles driving in two days?
