An Unusual Way In............

.................This Whalebone Archway leads to Laundon Hall, Threekingham, the home of the Craggs family. Local tradition says that that an ill-fated 19th century whaling expedition involved a member of this family and these bones survive as a souvenir. A bit gruesome perhaps but makes an interesting feature.
Trying it in black and white - just for a change - maybe I rely on colour too much at times - and the whalebone stands out rather better, I think.

Lovely morning so far - but again at about the same time as on other days - clouds are building up. Temperature at 11-20am is 65Deg. F.
