European Bee Eater - Merops apiaster

Not a great shot as I had to crop it a lot - they don't like people coming too near.

The last time I saw bee eaters here, they were in flocks of 10 or 20 - none of that today, only single or pairs and very sparsely spread - it could be due to the fact that it was quite cool, windy and overcast.

Anyway, that's that one ticked off and they are amazing birds to see as they swoop and dive for flying insects and the colours are just amazing.
