The title is a mash-up of the Stevie Wonder song and a line from the old BT adverts.
We were in the DIY store this morning and spotted this very retro style phone. It was not until later that I realised what was wrong with it - too matt and dull, the originals were more polished. This also got me thinking about our old phone. When I was growing up, we just picked up the phone and waited for the operator to ask "What number please?" It was not until the early sixties, I think, that we got an automated exchange.
Quite a busy day; this morning MaggieD gutted a wardrobe and did some re-organising and this afternoon I started on a fairly major reorganisation in the garage. The first target was to tidy up and create some more space to manoeuvre. Am I the only one who hoovers the garage? Which reminds me, I had better empty out the bag soon before MaggieD finds out that it is all stuffed up!
