Exodus

The slow egress of festival goers from the V Festival at Weston Park started in ernest this morning.

This couple were waiting for a coach and had set out their chairs and belongings on the main drag to the coach and bus area. 75,000 people camp at the festival and they all arrive by road. It is a logisitical puzzle to get them away and the organisers have a specific transport management plan to achieve a sppedy exit. Even so I was caught up in the traffic both coming into and leaving the site today.

It was there first time together at a festival and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the impression plans were already being made for future years. They were very content.
