Nesset's Reach Restoration

We got to kickoff a new project with the Nooksack Tribe on the South Fork Nooksack today. Should shape up to be a great project with lots of opportunities to improve geomorphic and habitat forming processes. The reach is pretty devoid of pool habitat and also suffers from high stream temperatures making conditions difficult for migrating salmon, especially endangered Spring Chinook.

PS - Wet wading on hot summer days in the PacNW is a pretty rare and welcome event. Here's to summer!
