Spinning Wheel

One of my favourite things to do at my Mum's Mum's house when she was still alive was to play with her spinning wheel. There were sheep in the field behind her house, and we'd collect little bits of fleece stuck in the fence and spin them.

The wheel went elsewhere in the family, but I found this one at our local auction house a few years ago for about £25 (my husband goes out on a coffee run, I buy a spinning wheel. Oops). Must get round to glue-ing the spindle back on one day; until then it's very pretty and in my living room.
