Thistle in evening sun

I wandered out into the field this evening to see what I could find to blip. Thistles caught my eye, and I took a few shots of this one against the uncut wheat at the edge of the field. It wasn't until I was looking through the shots on the PC that I noticed this Ichneumon-type fly on one of them.

On another thistle, there was still one small purple flower remaining, with a Bumble Bee that for a moment appeared to be asleep, but it was slowly feeding with a very long tongue deep in the flower. Suddenly another small Ichneumon-type fly appeared and seemed to be trying to attack the bee, which became very agitated and was hitting back with its legs. The fly eventually gave up, and although I had kept my finger on the shutter and taken loads of shots, they were not particularly good as the light was low and the action so fast!
