Organic

A local vineyard that I walk by every day has just put up a notice declaring that it is in its second year of converting to an organic crop. "Bio" is the French word for organic, short for "biologique". I don't know why the notice has suddenly appeared, but I'm delighted that in the heart of ultra-conservative rural France at least some farmers are embracing the idea of an insecticide-free world.
