Little imps

After last night's distant shot of the Castle we had a most enjoyable evening at the Tattoo facing it. It's a few years since I've been and the technological developments in sound and projection have turned it into a real enjoyable spectacle. It has always been so but it has now got added polish. The sight of skeletons projected onto the castle was a novelty. And a protection of the moon looked a bit like the Death Star.

Lots of classic shots; lots of blurred photos as dancers from Mexico, Mongolia, Korea and closer to home swirled spring the esplanade below us; some reasonable fireworks shots.

But this one pleased me. Not just because it is in reasonable focus as the bikes moved backwards towards us but also because of the skills displayed. Some of the riders were 6 or 7 and they and the older ones were superb. An inter-crossing, riding backwards on the bikes was astonishing.

A great evening.
