ORCHID MAJESTIC BEAUTY.....

.... finally our Orchid Cymbidium has arrived in flower. Not sure exactly which one we have but for memory is the "Tumba Rumba" ?
Known as Cymbidium /sɪmˈbɪdiəm/, or boat orchids, is a genus of 52 evergreen species in the orchid family Orchidaceae. It was first described by Olof Swartz in 1799. The name is derived from the Greek word kumbos, meaning 'hole, cavity'. It refers to the form of the base of the lip. The genus is abbreviated Cym in horticultural trade.
As described in the ole WIKI.

HAVE A LOOK IN LARGE

Busy day today, catching up this afternoon for a Blip meet with one of the "masterminds" of the GREAT Filterama Challenge - hobb's run. He and riversider put us a challenge three weeks ago and after the three weeks now there were some twenty or so blippers enjoying their Mondays coming up with the use of a"filter" on a pic.
Fantastic Challenge and what fun - just have a look at the Spotlight page and see the number of FILTERAMA CHALLENGE Blippers having hit the Spotlight.
Well done guys!
My dove in the "Mediterranean" also made it to the Spotlight for a short time so thank you.

Enjoy
