The Other Side...

As part of the balanced view of my current home, India, today's blip is a little dark

Apologies for the quality too as it was a cheeky blackberry photo, the fact that a 'foreigner' was even in this part of town was enough without having a proper camera ...

Yesterday I spent some time in Mayur Puri, not for the fainted hearted...

Locally known as the Chor Bazaar or Thief Market...

It's with great sadness I walked the streets as there is not much of an understanding of what all this oil, fuel, coolant, solvent, other fluids and metallic waste is doing to the people working there or the environment..

Perhaps a less dramatic picture would have been my 13 year old Rockport boots that are now two tone, with the bottom 4" almost jet black with original Rockport Brown Uppers !


I have to say also that I have seen and work in far more progressive organisations and parts of the country, and hopeful that scenes like this will become less and less
