Goodbye Mabel and Dudley

Although they won't actually be leaving until tomorrow, today is my last day of being in loco parentis, so there has been some brushing of pooches, gathering together of poochy belongings, laundry of towels, etc.

Rain stopped play on our afternoon walk in the park, but not before Dudley did some ball-retrieving. The little people are back in school today, so all was peaceful, though Mabel did see off a friendly young springer spaniel with her bark.

The holiday-makers return in the wee small hours, no doubt to a rapturous welcome which I hope doesn't waken the neighbours. The dogs will be pleased to see them too ;-)

'The Great British Bake Off' returns this evening - yippee! I'll be watching that. And drooling...
